The Wedding Cake...The Crowning Jewel of Your
Celebration
We value our reputation as the area's leading
maker of wedding cakes. We work closely with you to
create a cake that reflects your personality, suits
the style of your wedding and feeds everyone who
attends.
Style ~ Let us present you with a
variety of pictures from our wedding book or bring
us your own design. Tell us your ideas or ask us to
present you with something you haven't even thought
of.
Taste ~ We offer many delectable
possibilities. From our traditional Classic cakes to
one of our Specialty or Signature cakes that never
fail to surprise and delight. It is not unusual to
select a torte variety as your wedding cake.
Detail ~ Finishing characteristics
are an equally important consideration. Choices
depend on your design dreams as well as the wedding
date itself, the time of year, time of day and the
location.
Size ~ When you consider
size, also consider the setting. A three tier cake
at a smaller reception site may look very
impressive, where in a large ballroom a much larger
cake would be desired.
At Wuollet Bakery we use only the finest and
freshest ingredients available and the utmost care
for design and detail. Wuollet cakes are created and
decorated by experienced artisans with your special
day in mind.

Groom's Cake
Have the groom pick out his favorite cake or torte to be
placed on the bridal table and served during the reception.

|
Centerpieces
Consider placing a single tier of cake on each table as
a centerpiece. Ata given time during the
reception, have each guest enjoy a piece of cake on
their own table.

Sheet Cakes
If a small wedding cake is desired, consider
supplementing your servings with sheet cakes. It's an easy way to ensure that
you have enough cake to feed as many loved ones as you've invited.
 |
|
Cutting the Cake
Custom holds that the bride cut and eat the first piece
of cake. It's said to bring good fortune. The groom places his hand over hers,
symbolizing togetherness, as she makes the first cut. They cut two pieces for
themselves, then feed each other a small bite, first the bride, then the groom.

Q: How far in advance do we need to place our
order?
A: We recommend placing your order at least four weeks ahead of time in
order to ensure your exact preferences can be met, however, we have been
able to create wedding cakes in as little as one day.
Q: Can you do the design that we want?
A: All of our tier cakes are custom decorated. An idea, a sketch or a
photo of what you’re looking for is always helpful. We can help you in
the creative process by working with wedding colors, themes, or even the
design on your gown or invitation.
Q: How long can our cake sit out for display at room temperature?
A: The amount of time varies depending on the cake flavor, whether the
reception is indoor or outdoor, and what the season is. Our consultants
are happy to provide several alternatives, no matter the circumstances.
Q: How far in advance are your cakes made?
A: Cakes are baked the week of the event and are iced and decorated, at
most, 1 - 2 days in advance. Our cakes are never frozen, with the
exception of our signature Soufflé cakes and our Princess torte.
Q: How do I pay for my wedding cake?
A: We mail an invoice for cakes ordered more than four weeks prior to
the event. Payment must be received no later than two weeks prior to
delivery. Payment is required with the order when the order is placed
less than four weeks prior to the event.
Q: Do you do a cake tasting?
A: Yes. We are excited to sit down with you to discuss your plans, cake
designs, and taste cakes so you can experience the care that goes into
making each cake. The tasting takes approximately 1 hour and is
scheduled at our Edina location (Click here for location information).
Call us at 612-922-4341 to set up a time. A second appointment may be
needed to place the order.
Q: How much do wedding cakes cost?
A: Simple cake flavors and designs are the least expensive. The more
complex the cake flavor and design is, the more you should be prepared
to pay. We look forward to helping you choose a design and flavor to
suit every aspect of your event, including budget
Q: Do I need to bring anything with me to the appointment?
A: There are a few things to consider before coming in: flavors of cake
you are interested in, pictures of any cake design you like, and colors
you are using. Feel free to bring any ideas and questions you have.
Q: What is a Groom’s cake?
A: A Groom’s cake is a cake designed according to the groom’s interests
and can be served either at the Groom’s dinner or wedding reception.
